Course description
Tanker navigation introductory course
Target group
Officers and ratings who are to undertake special duties and related responsibilities concerning cargo and cargo facilities on tankers. The induction course is valid for all types of tankers.
Requirements
Proof of successful participation in an "Advanced fire fighting course" must be provided.
The additional fire module (Shore Based Fire Fighting) required by the BSH is not part of the course.

- Special shipbuilding features
- Properties of the charges
- Hazards; hazard prevention
- Safety equipment; emergency management

Certification
The course is approved with the number: BSH-2017-954-002. Participants will receive a certificate of attendance to exchange for the certificate of competency at the BSH.
