English communication

Content

English is the standard language on board seagoing vessels and in shore-to-ship / ship-to-ship communication. Due to multinational crews, the requirements for safe language use are very high - especially in emergencies and emergencies, an absolute understanding of the other person is required.

In order to prepare you for these circumstances and to understand and apply the special features of maritime communication, we offer you various course configurations.

Variant 1:

Maritime English for VHF communication between sea and land stations (based on the IMO standardised terminology - SMCP)

Variant 2:

Maritime English for shore-based personnel for oral and written communication with members of ships' crews

In order to meet your learning requirements, we work with you to analyse your needs and create an individual timetable and course content based on this. We are also happy to realise your training requirements directly.
